Employment Opportunities

Do You like to teach guitar?

Looking for Dynamic, Patient and Engaging guitar teachers to teach for EzraGuitar.

EzraGuitar is a new approach to teaching guitar, developed by classical guitarist Maoz Ezra. This fresh approach is designed to start children from the age of four years old playing the guitar and learning to read music. Most importantly our students should love the whole learning process of making and sharing music.

We are looking for teachers who are like minded in our goals to develop the popularity of the classical guitar, to enrich children’s lives with music and provide students with the highest quality music education that we possible can.

We pride ourselves with having our teaching artists with a high level of performance ability. Our teachers have performed on stages Internationally and all have a keen sense of artistry and knowledge of the vast possibilities that the guitar can achieve. This standard of level is very important to us when selecting a teacher, not only because you will be asked to perform quite frequently, but also because we want our students to have a sense of the “road” ahead, to know what they may be able to achieve, by being inspired by your playing and expertise as an educator.

This position requires an absolute love of teaching. You will be working with children from age four and up, so you must have lots and lots of patience and respect for little people and their developmental needs.

EzraGuitar is a method and you will need to be trained in it before beginning to teach. The training will include some observation of classes as well as meetings with Maoz Ezra and then some trial teaching. As we said before, we are looking for professionals with experience, however we ask that you come to us with an open mind. The method does not require you to teach in a “cookie-cutter” style. However, we would like all of our teachers to follow a similar philosophy and strive towards similar goals with their teaching. We absolutely welcome your ideas and feedback and want you to feel as if you are part of a team and not just an “employee.” Students will perform in recitals two to three times per school year; so our main goal is to teach them to play, perform and love making music.

Please send us an email info@ezraguitar.com with your resume and tell us a bit about yourself and your experience in the body of the email, make sure to include your phone number and a good time to contact you. In an interview we ask that you prepare a piece to play for us that best represents you and your artistry. It is not an “audition” so try not to be nervous, we just want to hear you play and talk to you about why you would like to teach for us and what you will bring to EzraGuitar. For more information about the method, take a look at our website www.ezraguitar.com or feel free to call us with any questions at 718-434-2103 We look forward to hearing from you!
